Holiday Fun Club
Join us as we spring into the Easter story. With the help of The Storyteller and their special pop-up book we will explore the events leading up to Easter Sunday. What did the people sing to welcome Jesus into Jerusalem? Why did Jesus wash his disciples’ feet? Who was in the garden when Jesus was arrested? What happened when Jesus died on the cross and rose again three days later?
Each day we will explore part of the story with drama and music, craft, cooking and science, games, and prayer and reflection.
We aim to be inclusive of those of all faiths and none and all abilities and needs. If there is anything you want to discuss ahead of booking or any way we can support you/your children in attending Holiday Fun Club please contact us.
About the day
Doors open at 9:15 for registration and an introductory activity.
We then join together in the sanctuary to warm up for the day and hear the stories for the first time.
We will then split into groups once more and explore the stories and themes through our activities and hopefully come away with something to think about. There is also time for a mid-morning snack.
At 12 we meet back together in the sanctuary to recap and reflect on what we have experienced and sing some songs.
Parents and carers coming to collect their children are encouraged to join us for this closing worship time.
Then it's home time. Your children will be given a bag to bring home anything they have made.
