    You are invited to stay for refreshments after the Service. They will be served in the  Forum and in the Sanctuary.  Please do stay if you can to enjoy a time to meet and talk with each other.

    Heathside Car Park.  Free Sunday morning (up until 1 pm) parking for those attending this Church. Please key in your registration number on a device in the Forum in the Church each time you are here.  This can be on arrival or as you leave.  The barrier will rise to let you out of the car park because your number will be recognised. 

    If you would like to donate to the work of the Church this can be done in a variety of ways as described on the “Giving to the Church” page of the website.  For one-off gifts, there is a direct link to the Dona online page from the “Give Online” button on the Home page, and the contactless device in the Forum is also available. There is a plate at the back of the Church and an offering bag under the Dona device in the Forum for anyone wishing to make a cash donation.

    Roofs Appeal.  The card machine in the Forum has been set up to receive donations and there is a link via the Church website – www.wokingurc.org.uk If you would like details which outline alternative ways to give, please ask the Church Secretary at the door this morning.     

    Care4Creation – Please take a look at the display boards in the Forum which are related to the ongoing work of the Green Team and the Church’s environmental commitments. You may contribute to this funding through the card machine in the Forum or via the Church’s website.

    Leading Worship elsewhere.  Vivien Gerhold is at Elstead URC and Andrew Gibb is at Cobham United Church.

    Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Rhoda Avon – Sunday 12th May at 2.30 pm.  Rhoda was a long standing member of Woking URC and the former York Road Church, and led the Gentle  Exercise Group here for many years well into her 90s.  She died last September and at the time there was only a family committal. Please contact Vivien Gerhold if you are hoping to attend the Service.

    Christian Aid Week – 12th to 18th May. Would you be willing to collect in your own or nearby road?  Please sign up on a sheet in the Forum and envelopes will be provided for you next Sunday.  Please don’t forget the big fundraising event – a Quiz Night on Wednesday 15th May at 7.30 pm – in person and also by Zoom.  

    Petting Farm event in partnership with the Children with Special Needs Foundation –  Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th May (see details in May Church Magazine).  There are many ways in which you can help over the three days and there are sign-up sheets in the Forum.   

    Collection point for the York Road Project and Your Sanctuary every Sunday. Items which would be appreciated by the York Road Project are: Sugar sachets, coffee sachets, jars of coffee, tea; pasta, rice;  squash (orange or blackcurrant), bottled or cans of water;  pot noodles; fresh fruit and vegetables; individually wrapped biscuits or other snacks, individual chocolate bars, tinned goods; boxer shorts (new) – men’s small and medium.  Your Sanctuary would particularly be grateful for  breakfast cereals, squash, ketchup, mayonnaise, meals in a can and dried herbs & spices. Also toiletries, and new or nearly new unwanted items which may be sold on Ebay. All the donations are very much appreciated.
