NEWS AND FORTHCOMING EVENTS

Please continue to wear your mask, when moving around the building and for singing if possible.  While seated during the Service it may now be removed if you wish, however we would like to encourage everyone to keep their masks on if they are able.

You are invited to have refreshments after the Service in the Forum or at the front of the Sanctuary.

Permits for Heathside Car Park (free parking each Sunday 9.30-1.00) are
available from Welcomers.
The Traidcraft Stall will be open in the Forum after the Service.  Advent Calendars on sale or to order.

If you would like to donate to the work of the Church
 this can be done in a variety of ways as described on the “Giving to the Church” page of the website. For one-off gifts, there is a direct link to the Dona online page from the “Give Online” button on the Home page, and the contactless device in the Forum is also available.  There will be a plate at the back of the Church for anyone wishing to make a cash donation or for Free-will offering envelopes.

Goods for the York Road Project will now be accepted each Sunday morning instead of the Thursday collection which has now ceased.

Leading Worship elsewhere today.  Andrew Gibb is at Elstead URC and Sydney Shore at Cobham United Church.Today is the last day to contribute to Commitment for Life, the URC World Development programme.  This may be through the Dona device in the Forum or via the Church’s website.  Gift envelopes are also available in the Forum for cash or cheques and may be handed to the Elders or Welcomers on duty.

The Bible Course – 
has started but it is not too late to join in.  The next sessions, will be on
Thursday 11th November at 7.45 pm via Zoom.  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83597009666  Meeting ID: 835 9700 9666 There will also be a session at 10am in the person at the Church on the same days as the evening sessions.  The in person sessions are primarily for parents of younger children who are otherwise engaged in the early evening.

There are sign-up sheets in the Forum to book for lunch, offer to help and to give names for childcare during the meeting.

Covid Vaccination Hub at the Church. 
 If you would like to offer to be a volunteer please contact the NHS volunteer coordinator, Nikki Kane, on  volunteers.urc@gmail.com or contact Tiny in the church office (premises@wokingurc.org.uk) for more information. The volunteer shifts will be 3.5 hours and there are opportunities to volunteer to serve refreshments so do ask Tiny about that too.
