If you would like to donate to the work of the Church this can be done in a variety of ways as described on the “Giving to the Church” page of the website. For one-off gifts, there is a direct link to the Dona online page from the “Give Online” button on the Home page, and the contactless device in the Forum is also available. There is be a plate at the back of the Church and an offering bag under the Dona device in the Forum for anyone wishing to make a cash donation

All Nations Lunch and Church Meeting on Sunday 21st May. There is a sign-up sheet in the Forum to sign up for lunch or offer to help generally, and for childcare during the Church Meeting. If you are able to provide and international dish please contact Sue Loudon.

Christian Aid Week 14th – 20th May. Distributors needed for delivery only envelopes (no need to collect) in the roads around the Church. They will have a message on the envelope asking for do- nations to be brought to the Church (letterbox, if not open). Also, collectors outside Waitrose, Goldsworth Park next Saturday. Please see Dorothy Brassington in the foyer this morning.

Christian Aid Week Bible Readathon—Wednesday 17th (at Recharge) to early Sunday morning 21st May. The whole Bible will be read in sponsored sections on Zoom and some live at the Church To sign up to read via zoom please visit bit.ly/WURC_CA23
We will be kicking off this event at Recharge and reading night and day until we have read the whole Bible. If you are interested in ’hosting’ a session as well as reading please email Morwenna in the office on office@wokingurc.org.uk for more information about this. Everyone is welcome to take part, adults and chil- dren! This year there will be a number of special events during the readathon including:
– Wednesday 17th May 8pm – event kick off at our Recharge Service
– Thursday 18th, 9.30am – 4pm live in-person reading from the Church
– Friday 19th 7.30pm-9pm Singing the Psalms at Church
– Friday 19th 7.30pm-9am Saturday 20th – Youth Event including a sleep over at the Church For more information about the Readathon please see the articles in the Church magazine this month

Collection point for the York Road Project and Your Sanctuary every Sunday. Items which would be appreciated by the York Road Project are: Sugar sachets, coffee sachets, jars of coffee, tea; pasta, rice; squash (orange or blackcurrant), bottled or cans of water; pot noodles; fresh fruit and vegetables; individually wrapped biscuits or other snacks, individual chocolate bars, tinned goods; boxer shorts (new) – men’s small and medium.
Your Sanctuary would particularly be grateful for tea, coffee, pasta, rice, tins of beans, veg, soups etc. Also toiletries, and new or nearly new unwanted items which may be sold on Ebay

Stepwise – Faith filled life. In person Introductory session – Tuesday 16th May from 6.30-8.30 pm at Guildford URC (book before 8th May). Zoom introductory session – Monday 12th June from 7-9 pm (book before 22nd May). Both are followed by a further 8 sessions held over several months. John Sinclair, who has taken this course, will be pleased to tell you more about it.
