This order of Service has been prepared so that you may fully participate at home and the sound of praise may ring across the town and many other parts of the world!
Although this Service is being live streamed from the Church there will not be a congregation at the moment. After the Service today – an invitation to share in prayers led by David Tuson, Church & Community Worker. There will be an opportunity to pray out loud or silently for anything which is on your heart. If you would like to give to the Church this can be done through two different links on the front page of the Church’s website or Facebook page – Cafonline and Givt (a new method launched last month). Regular giving can also be set up by these methods or by bank standing order.
Monday – The Girls’ Brigade and Boys’ Brigade Zoom meetings
Age groups meeting at various times starting from 6pm until 8pm.

Wednesday 11 am Short Service in the Church with a small congregation.
This will be for around half an hour with a reflective time to worship and music before and after. Due to social distancing rules, numbers will be limited, and places do need to be booked. Wednesday – 11 am to 12 noon at the Church. Gifts for the York Road Project Regular items welcomed – Bottled water, Jars of sauces for e.g. bolognaise & curries, UHT milk, vegetables & fresh fruit. Supplementary list – deodorants/antiperspirants, shaving foam, razors, PPE/hygiene products (anti-bacterials, gloves, masks & handwash) and the following clothing: men’s underwear (small & medium), men’s and women’s jumpers & jackets, thermals (small / medium), hats, gloves & scarfs (unisex).
Extra appeal – Christmas Gifts for yourSanctuary (women’s refuges). The following would be appreciated – Toiletries, chocolates, socks, gloves, scarves, jewellery, individual Christmas puddings and small iced cakes, slippers and dressing gowns. All clothing items MUST be new, please. This is the last collection day. If you cannot get to the Church but have a gift please contact David Tuson.
Thursday – 10 am – Prayers for help and healing.
A short Service as close as possible to the weekly gathering for prayers which was held at the Church.

Saturday – Wessex Synod Advent Quiet Day – 10.30 am to 3 pm. Taking time out to look forward in hope, the day together will include online worship and short talks, with plenty of time for personal reflection offline. All are welcome to join in the whole day, or any part of it. A full programme, with a link to the meeting will be shared the week before the event and will also be available on the Synod website – www.urcwessex.org.uk
Be a telephone befriender. There will be an invitation on the neighbourhood card, particularly to those who are feeling lonely, to make contact with the Church and to receive friendly phone calls. Christian Aid Christmas Appeal – Giving is best done through WURC’s Just Giving page “Christian Aid Christmas Appeal” via the link on the Church website. Christian Aid will receive the donation, including any gift aid, directly and no charges are deducted. If you prefer, then you can pay direct to the church bank account (Sort Code: 40-47-08; Account No: 3189024) reference CAid, or by cheque payable to Woking URC with CAid written on the back. Cheques can be sent to the church, marked for the attention of Chris Temple, or direct to his home address.
