NEWS AND FORTHCOMING EVENTS

You are invited to stay for refreshments after the Service. They will be served in the Forum and in the Sanctuary or in the Church garden if fine. Please do stay if you can to enjoy a time to meet and talk with each other.

If you are in the Church car park and are not staying for the picnic lunch or the survey session would you please vacate your space by 12.15 so that cars may be transferred from Heathside. Charges apply from 1pm at Heathside when the permit time runs out, but there are no restrictions in the side roads at that time.

Changes in Heathside Car Park Seem to have been delayed. Please continue to display Church permits, which are available from the Welcomers, until notified of different arrangements.

The Traidcraft Stall will not be open today. Back next Sunday to continue selling items before the stall has to close permanently.

Leading Worship elsewhere. The Revd David Netherwood is at High Cross Church, Camberley and Alison Sage is at Wonersh URC this morning.

If you would like to donate to the work of the Church this can be done in a variety of ways as described on the “Giving to the Church” page of the website. For one-off gifts, there is a direct link to the Dona online page from the “Give Online” button on the Home page, and the contactless device in the Forum is also available. There is be a plate at the back of the Church and an offering bag under the Dona device in the Forum for anyone wishing to make a cash donation

Collection point for the York Road Project and Your Sanctuary every Sunday. Items which would be appreciated by the York Road Project are: Sugar sachets, coffee sachets, jars of coffee, tea; pasta, rice; squash (orange or blackcurrant), bottled or cans of water; pot noodles; fresh fruit and vegetables; individually wrapped biscuits or other snacks, individual chocolate bars, tinned goods; boxer shorts (new) – men’s small and medium.
Your Sanctuary would particularly be grateful for tea, coffee, pasta, rice, tins of beans, veg, soups etc. Also toiletries, and new or nearly new unwanted items which may be sold on Ebay.

Exploring Resilience for Churches – Three Zoom sessions on Thursdays, 22nd & 29th June and 6th July from 7.15 to 8.45 pm. Poster in foyer with session details and how to book.

Encounter – Woking Youth Event – Saturday 1st July ‘What’s the point? Why You, Why God? An event for School years 7-10 3pm to 7pm, School years 10-13 6pm to 10pm, with various activities and worship to help explore the theme. Woking URC Summer Camp – Saturday 29th July to Saturday 5th August A great week away full of activities and Bible theme for children aged 8 – 11 and Youth aged 11 – 17. Staying at Thriftwood Activity Centre, Brentwood. Booking via – bit.ly/WURC-SC23

Church Group at New Victoria Theatre pantomime – Peter Pan – starring Anton du Beke. A group reservation has been made for the 7 pm performances on Thursday 28th December with reduced price stalls seats – £24.50. A group needs to be at least 50 and the last day to book has been extended to Sunday 10th September. Sign up sheet in the Forum or book directly with Keith Bradley.
