NEWS AND FORTHCOMING EVENTS

You are invited to stay for refreshments after the Service if you wish.  They will be served in the Forum and in the Sanctuary, or in the Church garden instead of the Sanctuary if fine.  Please do stay if you can to enjoy a time to meet and talk with each other.  If you would like to make a donation to the ecumenical Christian charity, Embrace, which helps marginalised and vulnerable communities in the middle east there are bowls at the serving points and also a line on the Dona card machine in the Forum.

Free parking every Sunday from 8.30am to 1pm.  Ask a Welcomers for one to display in your car.

The Traidcraft Stall will be open in the Forum today after the Service, the stall will NOT be open on 14th and 21st August so please stock up today.

If you would like to donate to the work of the Church
 his can be done in a variety of ways as described on the “Giving to the Church” page of the website. For one-off gifts, there is a direct link to the Dona online page from the “Give Online” button on the Home page, and the contactless device in the Forum is also available.  There is be a plate at the back of the Church and an offering bag under the Dona device in the Forum for anyone wishing to make a cash donation.

Leading Worship elsewhere.  Vivien Gerhold is at Stoughton Methodist Church, Andrew Gibb is at Cobham United Church and Sydney Shore is at High Cross Church, Camberley this morning.

Forthcoming election of Elders.  There is a box for completed nomination forms in the Forum.  Spare copies of the letter and nomination forms are also available.

Collection point for the York Road Project and yourSanctuary every Sunday.  Items which would be appreciated are: Sugar sachets, coffee sachets, jars of coffee, tea; pasta, rice;  squash (orange or blackcurrant), bottled or cans of water; pot noodles; fresh fruit and vegetables; individually wrapped biscuits or other snacks,   individual chocolate bars, tinned goods; boxer shorts (new) – men’s small and     medium.

It may be summer but it is time to think about booking for a Christmas pantomime.  A Church group reservation has been made for Cinderella at the New Victoria Theatre on Thursday 29th December at 7 pm.  Good stalls seats for only £18 (full price would be £34.50).  No need to pay until 25th September, but don’t delay booking.  There is a sign-up sheet in the Forum every Sunday.
