‘The Exodus – Set My People Free’.
Dear Friends,
September always brings with it a new start in the life of the church and this year is no exception. This Autumn we look forward to taking a deep dive into the story of the Exodus through our series ‘The Exodus – Set My People Free’. From September to November we will journey with the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land. We’ll explore the call of Moses, and miraculous events like the parting of the Red Sea. On mountain tops and in the valleys of despair we’ll see human rebellion and God’s faithfulness on display and ask how this speaks into our lives today. We’ll ask where do we experience slavery in the modern world and, indeed, in our own personal experiences and how is God calling us out of that into the promised future he has in store for us.
I’m also delighted to announce the long-awaited return of the puppets to our Sunday morning services. They will help us to tell the stories and bring them to life in their inimitable way. Why not read Exodus 1-20 in preparation!
